    I am one of the new undergraduate students/Freshmen who will pursuing my tertiary education in NUS. I will take a course in the study of Science. So,is KE7 Hall the nearest hall of residence to Faculty of Science? Can you please provide me more information about KE7?

    Yups, KE7 is the nearest hall to Science. There’s a stairs leading all the way down to Science from our Hall so you could actually just walk down. I usually just wake up 10 mins before the lecture, wash up, grab some b’fast then walk over. It’s a lot faster than waiting for the Shuttle Bus.

    Besides that, anything specific about KE7 you wanna know about? Hall life, CCA, facilities, cost, rooms etc.?

    If u just walk from E block, 5 mins is enough to reach science

    Hello, can i just check, is the hostel fee (per sem) of $1350++ inclusive of the meals or do we have to pay for the meals separately??

    Hi, $1350 is not inclusive of meals yet. However to stay in hall it is compulasary to subscribe to the meal plans, which will be around $357++ for a semester.

      Compared to other halls the food at KE is bad. At breakfast they don’t even have milk and cornflakes.Can someone please suggest them to improve a bit?

    u can check in after office hours, student assistant will help you, their contacts r on the windows of the office. There is no double room left if I am not wrong

    Questions ya…

    Is IBG publicised enough? Or totally depends on each block to publicise among themselves?

    N guys seriously wanna schedule all matches of one sport in one night? and play 3 on 3 basketball which does not really shorten the game length by too much and totally different from IHG kind of game?

    Hall forum’s link should be added to KE website, since I find hall forum is not frequently used, just some suggestions…and one more…study room is too dirty, haven’t been cleaned up for several months I think, JCRC supposed to take care of it? or hall office? or set some committee like welfare committee to take care of the study room? since several years ago welfare comm is in charged of it.

    Oh we decided not to promote the hall forum link officially yet as it’s not fully ready. We’ll announce the link once we’ve sorted things out.

    study room is under Hall Office. maybe you can tell the Office staff about it? welfare comm used to manage the books i think, not the hygiene. i’m not too sure about this but it’s for sure that it should be cleaned by the cleaners.

    in any case, it’s our responsibility too to keep the study room tidy and clean.

    There ‘s no issue with asking the office to tidy up the study room. As a matter of fact, they’re more than happy to tidy it up. The only problem lies with some residents leaving their belongings there overnight. And the cleaner do not want to be responsible should and items go missing. Therefore it would greatly help if the users of the study room actually clear up their stuff after they use the study room. Ultimately, I feel the the cleanliness of the study room lies with everyone and not just the hall office.

    Hi Keviian,

    I regret to inform you that due to some miscommunication, we did not manage to have a writer down for the opening ceremony. Thus, there will be no article.

    As for photos, we have not managed to get them from KE Vision either (but I cannot confirm if they did not take photos, or if they simply just did not pass it on to us). It is incompetence on our part for not following up on this, and I apologize for that, but I do hope you’ll take into account the fact that we’ve been very very busy with the daily updates of matches. However, I know of a friend who has taken photos of the dance performance and put them up on Facebook. If you wish to see those photos, I will put them up on this blog. I apologize for our lack of coverage and for our lag in updating about the ceremony.

    Thanks for your understanding, Keviian. We really do appreciate it :) I’ve managed to get some photos from KE Vision, so I’ll be putting them up at the IHG Blog soon. As for the article, I don’t tink it’d be nice of me to trouble people not in my committee because everyone is extremely busy now, due to IHG, Hallplay/XQRJ/Dramafest/Chinese Drama/Amplititude etc. Unless someone reading this wants to offer to do it…? :P Haha.

    I believe for events like IHG Opening, a picture speaks a thousand words.
    And although I understand the importance of IHG coverage, I personally think leaving this main blog idle isn’t so …
    Small small things like the recent candy machine and the stray cat would be enough to keep the residents and ex-KEVIIans amused and updated. Again, a picture speaks a thousand words. =)

    Yes, there will orientation camps from Hall usually around late July :) There, you’ll be given opportunities to have a lot of fun as well as networking with people of rich diversities.
