To celebrate the end of the mid-term exams, the E block committee was thoughtful enough to prepare a wonderful supper with tuna, tomato, peanut butter and nutella sandwiches amongst much other deliciousness, which were all running out fast.
It seemed that today’s fire drill wore out our energy, and while a delicious supper is always most welcomed, today’s dessert night attracted more people than I have ever seen before. I guess studying does make people hungry!
The melted marshmallows were delightfully sticky, though they proved to be quite a challenge (though a very fun one) to eat. Strangely enough however, the easier-to-eat un-melted marshmallows were not as popular, because apparently food with fun gives a better taste!
Bubble tea – Definition: bubble + tea = bubble tea.
This suggests that in order to have a cup of bubble tea, one would have to do some work – adding bubbles and concentrated milk into your tea. This first turned a lot of us (lazier ones) away, but our nice, kind, and ever so hardworking nice block committee members realized this problem in time, and started to work on the missing steps that we preferred to skip, such that everyone could enjoy a refreshing cup of bubble tea.
“This is a wonderful supper!” “I enjoyed it!” “Hope there is more supper like this!” were some of the commonly heard comments from the E blockers. Indeed, the supper provided us with much (though momentary) comfort from the pressures of our academics, while giving the opportunity for the E blockers to connect and re-connect amidst the seemingly endless routine of mid-terms, assignments, studies and more.
We wish everyone a happy ending to the mid-terms!
